I was curious about how this DLC would work as you are playing as a different character who doesn't have the magic powers or time travel abilities. It works well enough, its not as quite as much fun as the original game but that does not mean it is enjoyable. There are some cool new enemies and environments. The squad sections are something a bit new so overall I'd say this is worth a play. However it is quite short so maybe not worth buying it unless it is on sale.. Best DLC ever!
