I like minimalist games. I like games that do not hold your hand. This game is all of that. (And the puzzles are not very difficult which is a big plus in my book.)Enjoy!. It's you and a bunch of weird controls. No explanations. You fiddle around with it...and suddenly it makes sense. You discover things, unlock things, and gradually learn the fate of an expedition to an impossible world. I loved figuring out and exploring things, and recommend the game for anyone wanting to try something different. The open ending left me wanting some closure, however. The nature of the game makes it hard to tell if there's a secret I haven't found to bring the story to a conclusion.. Probably not for everyone. But if you like to analyze systems this will be pretty rewanding. It's not strictly necessary to really understand what every interface element does. Only downside is you can beat it in a few hours if you solve it systematically (though this might be an upside for some). For me this was a special experience: A game about exploration - and I discovered something that wasn't supposed to be accessible (from the GUI). Bonus Points: Psychedelic colors & nice music!. Wow, this is a new level of obtuse weirdness. But it's quite enjoyable if you like pure exploration and discovery.. Almost literally criminal to buy this game on sale. This is one of the best blind-play experiences I've ever had (echoing sentiments of other people to go in blind, the game is about learning the game itself, so don't spoil it).I'm not sure exactly how to review it, because it's extremely unique and just is what it is.I delayed picking this up for a while because I wasn't certain what it'd offer, but let me assure you that unlike most games, the screenshots tell you everything you need to know about the game: This is basically telemetry based cartography/exploration. The only complaint I have with the game is that the "text logs" you find require time to descramble so reviewing them is semi needless in delay, but it does feel in line with the overall experience of things.TL;DR: This is a puzzle game where the game itself is the puzzle. If you enjoy those physical puzzles where by you have to figure out how to move the pieces to get other pieces out to disassemble the rest of it, that's what this game fundamentally emulates, while being unique.. It's like GNOG but not so intuitive and weird. Nice game but must have help or video tutorial. I don't understand, why author didn't include anything(even such youtube video would be great help) -- playing game should not include guessing interface details.Videos to help play it:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LEb3GsVQ7QUhttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=A1fs6k_oL0I. If you happened to play and enjoy "Mirrormoon EP", you're going to like this, too. (This one doesn't have the ARG aspect to it.)Discovering and exploring what this strange alien device does through experimentation and reasoning is the main part of the fun, don't expect a user's manual! As you discover elements of the landscape, you unlock new leads to your next objective along with story snippets that give you an idea of what's going on.Some of the instruments on the device are very precise, and you won't be able to unlock what you're looking for unless you're as exact as it is. Which is a bit frustrating, and may turn some people off.
